Click here to return to the Ministrywarning web site regarding convicted criminal and fugitive Ken Parks of Duluth, GA.  Parks runs a fraudulent "ministry" and "charity," that he calls ETC Ministries, last known to be operated from his residence in Duluth, as well as unlicensed businesses AtlantaMAXPhoto, Fotos by Ken and Ansisoft.  Since 2000, Parks has been consumed with stalking, harassing, and threatening numerous people, including those in his own family, via web sites, chatrooms, e-mail and regular mail.  Parks falsely claims he has won all of his pro se (without an attorney) lawsuits against his victims, when in fact the documentation shows he has actually lost his lawsuits.

Journalist Michael Barrick has written Donor Alert and Shining Light articles for Ministry Watch as well as articles for other publications.  Below is a copy of a second article he has published about Ken Parks to answer false accusations and cyber attacks made by Parks.

Not Tolerating the False Attacks

When "Christians" get vicious and ignore biblical admonitions

Any writer is going to have critics. Some simply disagree with a point of view. I welcome a spirited discussion, so I may sometimes reply just to get people to think. Sometimes, because we are all human, I simply get something wrong. In those instances, I will admit error. However, there are times when people who are subjects of enterprise or investigative reporting despise the light that exposes them for who they are. When these subjects respond with malice and slander, I will respond to protect my reputation. Such is the case here.

In October, 2005, I wrote an article about Ken Parks of Duluth, Ga. I reported that Parks, who markets himself on the Internet as a photographer but has also established an ostensibly Christian apologetics and teaching website, has a history of cyber stalking – in particular against his sister in Connecticut. I also reported that Parks is the subject of a fugitive status arrest warrant in Connecticut, meaning that if he should return to the state, he is subject to arrest by law enforcement authorities for charges that include making threatening and harassing remarks through the Internet. Finally, I reported that he was marketing himself as a ministry, but refused to release any financial information about that ministry. In particular, he was implicitly raising funds for Hurricane Katrina victims, but refused to even answer how such funds would be used.

In response, he has created a website attacking my credibility. My response was to contact him and the pastors of his church – Johns Creek Baptist Church in Alpharetta, Ga.  I have offered, repeatedly, to subject myself to the biblical resolution model outlined by Jesus in Matthew 18:15-17. I even offered to travel to Georgia to hear Parks out and let his pastors "referee." Parks and his pastors have not only refused to consent to this model, they have not even extended the courtesy of returning my numerous phone calls or emails.

Hence, I can only conclude that what I initially wrote about Parks is true. I will not rehash this in this space, except to say that he continues to threaten his sister. While I would prefer to simply ignore Parks and the website that he has created, one which is clearly slanderous, I wish to state publicly here that Parks' claims are false and his attacks upon his sister and me are unbiblical. He has responded as he has because the initial report exposed him for his vicious and seemingly fraudulent behavior. So, this response is offered to protect my reputation. As always, I stand ready to resolve this according to the biblical model should he or his pastors choose to follow that path.
