Click here to return to the Ministrywarning web site regarding convicted criminal and fugitive Ken Parks of Duluth, GA.  Parks runs a fraudulent "ministry" and "charity," that he calls ETC Ministries, last known to be operated from his residence in Duluth, as well as unlicensed businesses AtlantaMAXPhoto, Fotos by Ken and Ansisoft.  Since 2000, Parks has been consumed with stalking, harassing, and threatening numerous people, including those in his own family, via web sites, chatrooms, e-mail and regular mail.  Parks falsely claims he has won all of his pro se (without an attorney) lawsuits against his victims, when in fact the documentation shows he has actually lost his lawsuits.

Cyber stalker Ken Parks has created on his web sites against his sister Paulette Buchanan of Colchester, Connecticut, web page after web page of bizarre, outrageously defamatory and libelous statements attacking her professional reputation and accusing her of having records of being a child abuser and of being a "terrorist" and "associating with terrorists" and "felons."  Parks' sister is not a child abuser, nor is she a terrorist or an associate of any terrorists or felons.  Parks also claims that his sister is a failure in her career as a historian and educator and claims that she is "jealous" of the "success" of her brothers.  (In fact, two out of four of her brothers are actually receiving government aid due to their documented mental illness, and like their brother Ken Parks, they also have poor employment records due to their mental health issues).  In attacking his sister's reputation and making all kinds of bizarre and baseless accusations, Parks makes fraudulent boasts about being a teacher himself and how his students admire him.  Parks has an associate's degree, but he has fraudulently claimed to have bachelor's degree qualifications.  Unlike two of his other brothers, Parks is not receiving any of the mental health treatment he has demonstrated since the 1980s that he apparently needs and that his family (including his adult daughter) and his former friends have urged him to seek.

Parks has also falsely claimed that Mrs. Buchanan's letter-to-the-editor published in World news magazine in 2002 supports his accusation that she is a poor educator.  World magazine had written an article about declining educational and academic standards, and Mrs. Buchanan, as well as other letter writers, wrote in support of that assessment.  As many news reports have documented, there have been many incidents in which a few students have caused problems for other students and their professors on college campuses.  The tragic shooting incident at Virginia Tech in 2007 could have easily occurred at any college campus.  Also, a search through the Internet demonstrates that there is ample commentary by professors on the problem of students simply refusing to do the work assigned to them and demonstrating not only a lack of knowledge of basic information, but in some cases open defiance against the need to learn that basic information.  Many professors run up against the mentality of students that since they paid (or their parents paid) for their courses they are entitled to a degree, regardless of their poor academic performance.  This is a well-documented problem in all fields of study at many college campuses, particularly state universities that have more of an open door admissions policy. 

When Mrs. Buchanan taught history courses part time at a state university, she had many good students in her classes, but there were a few students who not only caused problems for her but for their other professors (and other students as well).  In one of Mrs. Buchanan's classes in the 2002 spring semester, she had a group of freshman students who exhibited disdain for all religious subject matter (especially Christianity, but also other religions).  In all aspects of history, to lesser or greater degrees, religion plays a role worth noting.  Also, that same group of freshman students showed a lack of respect for many of their professors and for other students in their classes, oftentimes being immature and disruptive in their classes.  Toward the end of the 2002 spring semester Mrs. Buchanan ended up being threatened by one of those students and her department head and the academic dean expelled the student from her class.  One other professor was also threatened by another student, and another professor also had to expel disruptive freshman students from one of his classes.  One of Mrs. Buchanan's students wrote a letter in support of Mrs. Buchanan in her dealings with the disruptive freshman students in the spring 2002 semester class.  At the end of the 2002 spring semester, Mrs. Buchanan and a number of other faculty members in various departments declined offers to teach fall 2002 courses and resigned from that state university.

Mrs. Buchanan's good reputation in the private school where she has worked since fall 2000 is also well documented.  Parks harassed her employer in 2006 with a bizarre and maliciously libelous e-mail he sent to administrators at the school in an attempt to get his sister Mrs. Buchanan fired.  Administrators and co-workers at the school have been very supportive of Mrs. Buchanan during the years that Parks has harassed and cyberstalked her, and they are aware of the many other victims Parks is also cyberstalking.  Click here to see letters of reference and thanks that Mrs. Buchanan has received from her employer.  At the end of the 2008 school year, Mrs. Buchanan resigned from the school so as to pursue other career opportunities that allow for more flexibility to care for an elderly family member.   But no doubt, Parks will probably fill numerous web pages with claims that he succeeded in getting his sister fired, when in reality she simply resigned to move on to another employment opportunity.

Parks also baselessly attacks his sister Mrs. Buchanan's qualifications as a historian.  Mrs. Buchanan and others are researchers for an archaeology group in Connecticut called the Gungywamp Society (www.gungywamp.com) which works in conjunction with Connecticut's state archaeologist and other professionals.  The Gungywamp Society researches an area in Groton, CT named Gungywamp which contains Native American, colonial and early American sites.  Parks makes all kinds of ludicrously untrue statements about the research society and its members simply because he is consumed with hunting down his sister with all kinds of bizarre accusations meant to discredit her qualifications to work and associate with others in her profession.  It also appears that he is posting all kinds of incendiary lies in a desperate attempt to incite third-party contact to harass and possibly harm his sister, her husband Scott Buchanan, and his own elderly mother.  In addition to having an arrest warrant issued against him in Connecticut for harassing his sister, Parks has been warned that any third party contact due to his Internet smear campaign will result in more serious charges being brought against him, including possible felony charges.               

One law enforcement official who has viewed Parks' web sites commented that Parks demonstrates a classic case of "transference" in which all of the crimes and harm Parks has done to others he transfers onto his victims by baselessly accusing them of the crimes he has actually committed.  Likewise, all of the benefit and success that others have accomplished, Parks fraudulently credits to himself as he libelously attacks their good reputations.  Parks has, in fact, a long history of unstable employment, personal debt, and estrangement from family and friends due to his criminal and maliciously aberrant behavior.

When it comes to Parks' consuming hatred of his sister Paulette Buchanan (and others), it wouldn't matter if she were a renowned and well-loved neurosurgeon -- Parks would still attack her reputation all over the Internet with one baselessly outrageous lie after another.  Parks makes similar repetitive attacks against all kinds of people on all of his other bizarre web sites, chat rooms posts, and his posts on news commentary sites, and he's made all kinds of fraudulently sensational claims of accomplishments about himself.  At this point his victims wonder just how much more bizarre his accusations might get.  It wouldn't be too surprising if Parks were to ramble on repetitiously on one web page and web site after another about how his sister, his other family members, his former friends, and any number of other people are all cannibals who drink children's blood, or that they were somehow connected to the JFK assassination, or that they are extraterrestrials with wicked schemes to plant electrodes in people and take over the universe.  Those who remember Parks being suicidal throughout the 1980s wonder if his efforts to anger or terrorize so many people all over the Internet is some kind of death wish of his to incite someone to harm him so he can die a martyr to his own cause (he has accused his sister of issuing death threats against him, but in reality she has not, nor does she know of anyone who has issued death threats against him).

Those who have mentally ill family members know how very difficult it is to get mental health treatment for those members.  Family members are continuing to receive help and support from some authorities as they search for ways to get Parks the mental health treatment he needs and put an end to his illegal incendiary Internet stalking campaign against so many people.  In the meantime, Parks' victims have a right to present the documented facts about him so as to warn others about his Internet activities, as well as clear their names with documented facts.
