Click here to return to the Photographer Scam / Ministry Warning web site regarding convicted criminal and fugitive Ken  Max Parks of Johns Creek / Duluth, GA.  Max is an alias Parks adopted around 2006.  Parks runs a fraudulent "ministry" and "charity," that he calls ETC Ministries, last known to be operated from his residence in Johns Creek / Duluth, as well as unlicensed businesses AtlantaMAXPhoto, Fotos by Ken and Ansisoft.  Parks' licensed home-based businesses Weddings Thru The Lens LLC / Photoworkshops TTL, LLC were only licensed in June, 2011 after Parks was ordered to do so by court order from the Johns Creek Municipal Court.  Since 2000, Parks has been consumed with stalking, harassing, and threatening numerous people, including those in his own family, via web sites, chatrooms, e-mail and regular mail.  Parks falsely claims he has won all of his pro se (without an attorney) lawsuits against his victims, when in fact documentation shows he has actually lost his lawsuits.

Parks boasts on his many web sites, blog posts, and Facebook account that he is a "professional photographer" and he claims to offer, for around $2,000, extensive, physically demanding walking tours as part of his photography tutorials.  Below are posts that Parks wrote in December, 2008, on a diabetic chat room, using his typical Internet moniker Viswizard (which he has used since the late 1990s).  In these posts Parks described what is known among medical professionals as irreversible and permanently destructive effects of his untreated diabetes (Parks has apparently had an alcohol problem/addiction for many years).  Some of the victims of Parks' long-term cyber stalking / cyber smearing campaign he's waged against them since 2000 consulted with a medical professional who, based on Parks' own descriptions of his symptoms and physical condition, confirmed that Parks' failure to address and treat his diabetic symptoms resulted in permanent vascular damage to his feet and legs, his eyes, and most likely his internal organs (primarily his kidneys).  How then is Parks able to offer extensive, physically demanding walking tours in this country or overseas?  How is Parks able to take "professional" photographs if his eyesight is as permanently damaged as he himself describes in the below posts?  It is reasonable to conclude that Parks delusional self-promotion is aimed at deceiving people into paying him to conduct "professional" tours or take "professional" photographs of weddings and other special events and then failing to deliver on actual professional services.  Family members know for a fact that Parks has been anything but professional when it comes to the few weddings and other special events he's photographed.

In the below posts Parks also alludes to "confrontational issues at work and at home."  Parks' family know for a fact that he has had a very poor employment record since the 1980s.  In mid-2009 Parks yet again was fired from another job he had held for only a few years.  Parks also apparently has a troubled marriage.  It may be that Parks is trying to defraud as many people as he can out of the $2,000.00 he's claiming to charge for his "tours" to use that money to break free from his troubled marriage.  Parks has been known to leave and disappear only to be found later living in other states.

It is also important to note that in all of Parks' web sites, blog sites, and Facebook account, Parks is using old photographs of himself, not current photographs of what he looks like now.

1st Day: Recognizing the problem (12/14/2008)

All the symptoms have knocked on the door of my body.

Several months ago, I noticed a tingling sensation on the bottom of both feet. I thought and attributed this to being overweight.

Then came the yeast infections in my groin area. I thought and attributed this to simply getting old.

I had one bout of a boil sore.  At first, I thought this was a large pimple. But it fested into a large sore. I took a needle to it and this released the puss and blood. For three more days it bled and released fluids. I kept it clean and bandaged it.

I noticed I was getting tired more often, and my sleep habits changed to 3-5 hours at a time. I thought and attributed the fatigue to working third shifts for nearly a year.

Having to urinate more frequenly: I thought and attribted this to feeling thirsty and consuming more drinks.

The dry and itching skin of my forarms was thought to be attributed to age.  But, I noticed this became frequent and over the counter ointments were useless.

I noticed that my vision would go through cyclic changes. For two or three weeks, far-sighted objects would be blurry and I no longer needed reading glasses. Then the reverse back to normal, I needed reading glasses, especially for viewing the video display and far-sighted objects were again clear.

Diabetes is now on my mind 24/7.

Changes 12/28/2008

Diabetes is a serious health problem and changes have to be made to accomodate my condition.

Exercise has become a daily task.  Walking, stretching exercises, and the weight lifting is next.

I've considered playing tennis again, but I don't know how my knees and feet will hold up.  It's been nearly 13 years since I last held a racket.

I can remember how competitve and the desire to win would supercede my injuries, but the aftermath pain was sometimes overwhelming, especially the sore knees.  That's the main reason I gave up playing 6 days per week and active on three different leagues.  I also captained two of the teams.

I now exercise in moderation, knowing not to push myself into serious pain.  Sure, I get some soreness in muscles that have not been exercised for years. But, I now take care in how much exercise is good for me without dropping out of breath or regretting it the next day.

Changes have also taken place in my diet, what foods to consume and what foods to avoid. Salads, brown rice, skinless chicken, lean beef, vegetables (I love Italian cut greenbeans), wheat based (whole grain) pasta, and low-fat yogurt have become mainstays in my daily diet.

Changes have taken place in the type of vitamin pills. The new pills include Omega-3 (fish oil) and Alpha Lipoic Acid. The vitamin-c chewables has become one of my favorite candy; this helps neutralize harmful free radicals.

I try to keep stress to a minimum, this includes avoiding confrontational issues at work and at home.  At work, one person is trying to convert me to Mormonism.  That's another subject for another day.

One of the major changes is how I have viewed my photographic work.  I have become very serious about learning photoshop at a professional level. This has become a wonderful outlet to being creative and enjoying this endeavor with others of like mind and ambition.  I have joined several meet-up groups in the Atlanta community.

Having diabetes has made me consider my mortality.  Changes include the attitude of "what is the best use of my time" if I have only 6 months to live.  It has made me realize what things to concentrate on and what things to avoid.
